Counting the Omer 50 Days of Prayer

Shalom, I wanted to share Adonai’s vision concerning the “Fifty Days of Prayer.” In 2007, Yah showed me that after Passover, the disciples were praying in one accord in the upper room.

Acts 1:14 (TLV) 14 All these with one mind were continuing together in prayer—along with the women and Miriam, Yeshua’s mother, and His brothers. Then, the Ruach Ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit) filled them with power!!

They went out and did Messiah’s works while on earth. The Book of Acts records all their works.

John 14:12–14 (TLV) 12“Amen, amen I tell you, he who puts his trust in Me, the works that I do he will do; and greater than these he will do, because I am going to the Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”

In John 17, Adonai prayed for you and me. His prayer to the Father was that we would all be one with Yeshua and the Father. His desire for His bride to be one with each other is also at the heart of this prayer. Why? So 16 Yeshua would perfect his bride, and the world will know that Yah sent His only Son and that Elohim loved us. This oneness, I believe, is beyond unity. When we only do the works our Messiah did and only pray what Yeshua is praying.

John 17:20–23 (TLV) 20“I pray not on behalf of these only, but also for those who believe in Me through their message, 21 that they all may be one. Just as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, so also may they be one in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 The glory that You have given to Me I have given to them, that they may be one just as We are one— 23 I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them as You loved Me.

How do believers become one with Yah, Yeshua, and other believers? Through prayer, not just any prayer, but with one mind in continuous prayer. The kind of prayer that is in one accord with Yah and Yeshua. When we are one with Yah, the world knows that Yeshua came to save them.

What an awesome motivation to become one with each other. My heart is to have every congregation in the body of Messiah be in one mind, at least during the counting of the Omer! Praying the same prayers and focusing on the same issues that face believers worldwide. Can you imagine the fruit of those prayers? 17 When we pray for others, we bear their burdens and fulfill the Torah.

Galatians 6:2 (TLV) 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way, you fulfill the Torah of Messiah.

Since the first “Fifty Days of Prayer” Fifteen years ago, it has evolved into this devotional book. Each day will have Scripture that will line up with a “Prayer Focus”, then a general Prayer followed by Prayer Points.

Some of these focuses will be on our walk with Adonai. Other focuses will be on groups of people and issues that believers face daily. Some issues will be sensitive and hard. The hope is that the Ruach will move in our hearts, deliver, and heal us. Making us a Bride without spot or blemish. their burdens and fulfill the Torah.
